The Yojimbo was first designed by Michael Janich and custom made by knifemaker Mike Snody before Janich worked with Spyderco to create the production version of the folder. The knife has a fixed blade version as well called the Ronin.

    this is a very impressive knife design. It doesn’t even look tactical which is perfect. It looks like a pro workers knife, someone like a surgeon, artist or engineer would carry this thing.
